A Few Words for Visitors and Newcomers
We are so glad you are here to worship with us!

A few things to keep in mind if you are new to Friends:
- It is fine to just sit. You don't have to speak; simply being present and participating in the shared silence is a form of worship.
- Focus inward if you can. It takes practice, but the goal is a direct, personal connection with the Divine.
- If someone stands to offer vocal ministry, try to listen deeply, asking yourself, "how is this person speaking to my condition?"
- It may not all make sense to you the first time you come to a Quaker Meeting for Worship. We encourage you to give it a few Meetings.
- Please know that any of us will be happy to answer questions you may have, either before or after the Meeting for Worship.
- You are welcome to borrow books, pamphlets and Quaker periodicals from our library. Also, you will find that there are a variety of informational leaflets freely available for you.
- Please sign our guestbook and include your email address if you would like to receive notices of Meeting events and an electronic copy of our monthly newsletter (also available on this website).
